GENOTYPE: EE Aa1 Classic Grey A stunning rosegrey male out of our Conopa XXX daughter, Ransom, and our amazing sire Wingman (Bomber) who's now back in the US. It's was a first classic grey for Ransom and she made sure he was memorable! On top of his unique facial markings, Rusty's fleece has high frequency crimp, beautiful fineness and uniformity. He also has above average staple length and density to his fleece with great coverage from head to toe. He also has a calm demeanor which is always a big plus. We are really looking forward to seeing this boy grow into what we think will be an great herdsire one day! UPDATE: Rusty has joined our herdsire row in 2024! His first crias have hit the ground during summer 2025 and they are nothing short of spectacular! As this was our first time breeding a classic grey male with a "Aa" ASIP profile, we were obviously expecting classic grey outcomes eventhough this male is expressing an atypical expression of the classic pattern. Our theory is that he would be able to pass on the "fully expressed" classic grey gene to his offspring when paired with the right females (females carrying the double ASIP mutation "aa") and this is exactly what he did! Out of 4 crias, we have 3 classic greys with 2 of them being produced by solid, non-grey, coloured females! As Rusty's highly related to most of our best females, we will be open to selling him but not until we can first secure a few more offspring out of this amazing boy! Rusty's first offspring will be hitting the show ring during spring 2026. Stay tuned for results...
